Nearly 100 representatives from some 10 different faith-based groups came together in Madrid, Spain on Sunday in preparation for the United Nations Conference of Parties, COP 25.  They called for recognition of the importance of interconnectedness, community, participation, mobilization and collaboration for transformation of society.

French lawmakers passed a draft resolution yesterday declaring hatred of the State of Israel a form of anti-Semitism. The resolution was passed 154-72 in the lower house of France’s National Assembly. Earlier this year, French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner announced that anti-Semitic attacks in France increased by 74 percent in 2018.

Retail giant Amazon is selling a book titled A Children’s Book of DemonsAccording to reports, some conservative leaders believe the occult is one of the new hot topics being pushed against traditional Christian values to ensnare children.

Christians in the UK have been strongly advised to stop volunteering at orphanages.  The call came shortly after the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office updated its official Travel Advice indicating that a regular turnover of volunteers without relevant training and experience can be harmful to children’s development and emotional wellbeing.

Iraq’s Chaldean Catholic Church which represents a large portions of Christians in the country, has announced it will not hold public Christmas celebrations this year. The head of the Church said the decision was made out of respect for those killed and wounded in recent anti-government protests, which have now been going on for three months.

A Chinese bishop has reportedly stated that Catholics in the country must put their loyalty to the state before their faith. He was quoted also as saying that the law of the country is above cannon law.
