Leading theologian Peter Williams, Principal of Tyndale House and member of the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge University has claimed there is compelling evidence for the reliability of the Gospels in the Christian Bible.  His comments are said to be a challenge to some 39% of British adults who stated in a survey that they did not think Jesus was a real historical person.

The UK government has announced it will extend the listed places of worship grants scheme until March 2021. Listed churches and cathedrals whose buildings are in need of vital repairs will receive grants to cover the Value-added tax incurred on urgent structural work and new roofs in a bid to reduce the burden on congregations to raise funds.
