Catholic politician, Robert Flello has been removed from the slate of Liberal Democratic candidates for tomorrow’s UK general election. According to reports, Mr. Flello was told by party officials that his views on abortion and same sex marriage were not those that would be expected of a liberal and it was therefore not appropriate for him to represent the party.
The new government of the African nation of Sudan has repealed laws that gave security forces the authority to enforce strict Islamic religious moral teachings. Dr Olay Fykse Tveit says the Christmas message helps us to see all things and everyone that God has created as expressions of God’s will and God’s love. He was extending Christmas greetings in his capacity. Rev Dr. Fykse Tveit added that the mystery of Christmas directs our attention to how God loves not only humans but the whole of creation.
